Conditions Hopefully Improving
Robert Bear, Kristy Berington, and Will Rhodes have moved up from the waiting list for the Knik 200 to the field of 40.
Meanwhile, temperatures in the Willow and Knik area have dropped significantly and are forecast to remain cold, which will hopefully enable the waterways along the race course to freeze. But what we also need is snow. Let’s hope we get more of that too, not just for the Knik races but for every sled dog race in Alaska, an area of the country which seems to have less snow than many places in the Lower 48.
